Katerina Kolozova (born October 20th, 1969) is the scientific director of the“Euro-Balkan” Institute from Skopje-Macedonia and the director of its Research Center in Gender Studies. Katerina Kolozova holds a Ph.D. in philosophy and is associate professor of gender studies at the University of Skopje, and a visiting professor of the Gender Studies Postgraduate Program of the University of Sofia, the Women’s Studies Postgraduate Program of the University of Belgrade and the Center for Postgraduate Interdisciplinary Studies of the University of Sarajevo. She has coordinated a number of team research projects in the area of gender studies and European studies on both national and international (namely, regional) level. She has been the Director of a regional (Southeast-European) project focusing on the establishing of a stronger link between teaching in higher education and research, entitled ReSet Regional Seminar for Excellence in Teaching “Gender and Women’s studies in Southeastern Europe: Rethinking Ideologies and Strategies of Their European Integration” (2004-2006). Katerina Kolozova is also one of the co-founders of the Regional Network for Gender and Women’s Studies in Southeastern Europe. She also holds the position of the executive editor of the regionally distributed and international Journal for Politics, Gender and Culture: Identities.
