The goal of the present research is to investigate the relationship between gender and migration, and explore their influence on the relations within the mixed and transnational families. The report will analyse the way gender dynamics within mixed and transnational families are conditioned by the existing national policies and institutional frameworks dealing with immigrants, the prevailing traditional patterns of gender relations in families, and by the interactions between people with different cultural, religious and ethnic backgrounds.
